The Foundry and Autodesk Developer Network
February 2009
In December 2008, Autodesk advised The Foundry that Autodesk would not be renewing the Autodesk Developer Network (ADN) agreement with The Foundry for the year 2009. At that time, Autodesk had proposed an alternative arrangement that would enable The Foundry to continue developing and supporting its plug-ins for Autodesk Systems products.
The companies have now come to an understanding, whereby Autodesk continues to provide The Foundry access to current and past versions of existing Autodesk Systems products, enabling The Foundry to continue supporting its Autodesk Systems customers. Autodesk also intends to provide The Foundry with access to future versions of currently shipping Autodesk Systems products.
Companies do not have to be ADN members in order to develop, market and sell plug-ins for Autodesk products. However, the ADN provides in-kind financial benefits through access to software and business benefits such as assistance with sales, marketing and distribution.
