DVC's ClipRecorder XTreme 2k now natively supports Sony hardware generated MXF files
DVC's ClipRecorder XTreme 2k now fully supports play back of all Sony hardware generated MXF files in addition to the uncompressed files.
Those are:
- XDCam
- XDCam EX
- XDCam HD422
- properly formed MOV with XDCam essence
Sony MXF files can be played directly without any need of transcoding, importing or similar.
DVC announces Boxxster with Solid State Disk Array
DVC expands the Boxxster Digital Disk Recorder family by Boxxster SSD. This high-end Boxxster combines outstanding play back performance (up to 1080p60) with compact, low-power and low-noise design.
Highlights are:
- Video raster support up to 1080p60
- direct and native record and playback of completely uncompressed AVI, MOV, WMV, Header-RAW-YUV, YUV-Stills, TIF, TGA, CIN and DPX files (just to mention the most important).
- Sony MXF support as option
- full single- and dual-link support
- support for 16 audio channels (embedded); 8 channels AES/EBU

Announcement: NEW microStorage field recorder
microStorage is an extremely compact HD recorder developed by Fraunhofer and based on commercial Compact Flash Cards which an be easily exchanged. microStorage is the ideal complement for broadcast applications using small HD cameras, where cameras will be placed e.g. within a race car or helmet cameras. The microStorage excels in being robust against power loss and corrupt files.
